 Cruising in the sahara on a ship of the Desert!!!!! Just back from a 4 day road trip of South Tunisia. We took in Touzeur, Douz, Matmata, Gabes and Gafsa.Here we are trecking to our overnight camp in the Sahara!!!! 3 hours each way !!!!! We slept under the stars in the Sahara and enjoyed Bedouin couscous and sand baked read for breakfast !!!! Fantastic experience. 2 Comments Pauline, Tony and Lesley have just enjoyed 2 nights on Kerkennah. During their stay they had dinner at a local restaurant (although they wimped out of having their table in the Sea!!!) They enjoyed a poolside BBQ at Sidi Youssef!!! With catch of the day, Mullet! They had a day at Sea on a Faluka (traditional boat!!!!) Got slightly sunburnt in the better than average for this time of year weather !!! Kerkennah is a great choice for a Winter break, as its usually mild to warm during the daytime, although evenings can be chilly.
